Family Matters is a darkly comedic thriller series about a group of individuals with special powers who disguise themselves as a family to eliminate heinous criminals. At the center is Han Young-soo, a mother with the ability to manipulate memories, alongside her makeshift family: father Baek Chul-hee, grandfather Baek Kang-sung, son Baek Ji-hoon, and daughter Baek Ji-woo.
Once escapees from a covert military unit known as the “Special Education Battalion,” they now live undercover as an ordinary family. However, their peaceful life is disrupted when they are targeted by Pastor Yoon Myung-hwan of the Golden Desire Church and his loyal followers, Jo Hae-pal and Oh Gil-ja.
As the threats escalate, the family unites to expose Yoon’s sinister plot and take down those behind it. Through the chaos, they come to accept one another as a true family, healing from past wounds and embracing a new beginning.
