An ordinary office worker, Kim Dokja, is the sole reader of web novel titled “The Three Ways to Survive in a World That Has Ended.” One day, while riding the subway home, he receives a mysterious message telling him to create his own ending if he dislikes the original conclusion. Soon after, he realizes that the novel’s world has become reality. Kim Dokja, along with the novel’s protagonist Yoo Joonghyuk and various companions, becomes embroiled in inexplicable disasters and survival scenarios. Within this narrative, he uses knowledge of the story’s future and original events to overcome challenges, while discovering the meaning of camaraderie, sacrifice, and growth. Ultimately, Kim Dokja transforms from a mere reader into an active participant shaping the story, choosing to forge a new ending where everyone survives.
